In the Far East, rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations examined more than 800 square kilometers in search of the Mi-8 helicopter. This was announced on July 15 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
"More than 800 square kilometers were examined by rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations from the air in search of a helicopter," the Telegram channel says.
The ministry clarified that rescuers examined 85 km of the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk and 880 square kilometers of taiga from the air. However, the missing helicopter has still not been found.
The day before, an Mi-8 helicopter carrying five people disappeared in the Far East. It was noted that three crew members and two technicians went on the flight.
The prosecutor's office reported that the helicopter was flying on the route Chumikan – Okhotsk – Magadan. After refueling in Okhotsk, the pilot did not get in touch. Later, a criminal case was opened in connection with the incident with the Mi-8 helicopter.
