American electric car manufacturer Tesla has officially entered the Indian market with the opening of its first auto show in Mumbai. This was reported by The Indian Express newspaper on July 15.

"Electric car giant Tesla has announced prices for its Model Y SUV, marking the automaker's official entry into the Indian market," the publication says.

It is specified that the car will be available only in the rear-wheel drive version. Its cost in India will be 5.9 million rupees ($68.7 thousand). According to the newspaper, sales will begin at the end of 2025.

On March 20, Reuters reported that Tesla is recalling almost all electric Cybertruck pickups sold in the United States since the model was released. The reason for the recall was the risk that the pickup truck's body panel could come off while driving and lead to an accident.
