A record warehouse area has been commissioned in Russia
According to the results of the first half of 2025, the volume of high-quality warehouse supply of class A and B in Russia exceeded the mark of 50.9 million square meters. m. Since the beginning of the year, the warehouse real estate market has expanded to 2.6 million square meters, which is 2.5 times higher than the result of the same period in 2024 and is a record value in the first half of the year. The analysts of the CORE company told Izvestia about this.XP, which conducted market research.
The markets of Moscow (22% of the total volume), Orenburg (8%), St. Petersburg (8%), Samara (7%), Omsk (7%), Novosibirsk (6%) and Vladimir (5%) became the leaders in terms of construction volumes. The predominance of markets in the structure of new construction, where previously the volume of new commissioning was limited, is a consequence of the expansion of the geography of demand that has occurred in recent years.
The new construction was based on client-built (built-to—suit) facilities, which accounted for 67% of the total volume. At the same time, 98% of warehouses implemented in this format were built to meet the needs of online and offline retail players, the drivers of demand in recent years.
On July 9, Denis Pasler, Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, said on the sidelines of Innoprom 2025 that in Yekaterinburg all warehouses located within the city limits would be moved to the suburbs, which would further develop the city's infrastructure. He noted that the possibility of expanding the Uralsky transport and logistics center to accommodate storage facilities is being considered.
