Experts will appreciate the quality of Crimean lavender
Experts will check the quality of lavender grown in Crimea. This is necessary so that the essential oil can be used in medicine, industry and in the manufacture of perfumes.
According to IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the Azov-Black Sea Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration, experts evaluate the quality of flowers, their aroma, plant resistance and the content of essential oils during testing. Then they determine the best varieties and select the optimal growing conditions.
It is noted that lavender fields occupy 600 hectares on the peninsula. Essential oil crops have been grown in Crimea for more than half a century.
Earlier it was reported that the number of cattle in Crimea increased by 7.1% in the first half of the year. The total number of animals amounted to 90 thousand heads, the press service of the republican Ministry of Agriculture reports. On June 18, another Holstein cow farm was opened on the basis of a large agricultural enterprise. The region also maintains high volumes of high-quality milk production.
