In mid–July, price fluctuations are expected in the range of 77.5–79 rubles per dollar, 91-92.5 rubles per euro and 10.6-10.8 rubles per yuan, according to Alexander Schneiderman, head of Alfa-Forex's customer support and sales department. He told Izvestia about this on July 15.

On July 15, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation set the exchange rate of the American currency at 78.3 rubles, the European currency at 91.7 rubles, and the Chinese currency at 10.9 rubles. At the same time, according to the Moscow Exchange, on July 14, the yuan is trading at 10.8 rubles.

"The ruble is supported by the large-scale sale of foreign exchange earnings by exporters against the background of the tax period. Additionally, there is a factor of lower imports and the weakness of the dollar in the global market. With falling oil prices or rising geopolitical tensions, the ruble may retreat to the upper limit of the range," Schneiderman concluded.

On June 5, Maxim Chirkov, associate professor of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Measurements at GUU, said that the US rejection of the debt ceiling could lead to a sharp weakening of the dollar and an increase in inflation. This decision will only accelerate the build-up of the national debt, which will eventually provoke a devaluation of the US currency.
