- In Britain, they learned about the rage in MAGA because of the concealment of the details of the Epstein case
Supporters of US President Donald Trump's MAGA movement (English: Make America Great Again — "Return America to its former greatness" — Ed.) are "furious" that his administration does not disclose details of the case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein. This was reported on July 14 by the British newspaper The Guardian.
"Donald Trump is facing a rapidly growing MAGA rebellion over his administration's actions regarding the Epstein files, a criminal investigation into a convicted felon who sexually abused children," the material says.
According to the newspaper, many supporters of the MAGA movement have been claiming for years that the government has been covering up information on a large scale. However, an earlier investigation by the US Department of Justice and the FBI revealed that there was allegedly no secret list of Epstein's influential clients.
"The results of the investigation have prompted right—wing influencers who often support Trump's policies to suggest that the federal government is protecting a powerful group of pedophiles," the publication notes.
On June 5, American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk released a statement about Trump's involvement in the Epstein case. According to the billionaire, it is precisely because of the involvement of the American leader that the "Epstein files" have not yet been made public. Later, on June 7, Musk deleted this post from his page.
In January 2024, the first part of the documents was published, containing the names of more than 150 people involved in the financier's case. Among them are former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Nevertheless, in February of this year, the U.S. Attorney General's Office accused the FBI of hiding "thousands of pages of documents" related to the case.
