Rescuers evacuated 24 people from a burning house in Cheboksary and resuscitated the dead cat. This was announced on July 14 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"Firefighters evacuated 18 people from the smoke—filled entrance, and six more residents were taken to emergency rooms," the department's Telegram channel says.
In a burning apartment on the ground floor, firefighters found a dead cat who had lost consciousness due to carbon monoxide poisoning. An EMERCOM employee took the pet out into the fresh air, performed an indirect heart massage and provided oxygen support. After that, the cat regained consciousness and was handed over to the owner.
Fire on 112 sq. m. 17 specialists and six pieces of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were eliminated. No one was injured.
On April 13, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Bashkiria said that in the SNT "Nadezhda" the dog is waiting for the owner who died during the fire in the ashes of the house. The ministry clarified that the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations tried to take the dog, but he would not let anyone near him.
