One person was killed and five injured in a head-on traffic accident in the Tula region.

In the Kireevsky district of the Tula region, an elderly motorist was killed and five people, including an eight-year-old girl, were injured as a result of a car collision. The regional State Traffic Inspectorate reports this in its Telegram channel.

The accident occurred last Saturday, July 12, on the 9th km of the Lipki–Borodinsky–Bolshye Kalmyki highway. According to preliminary data, the 62-year-old driver of the VAZ-2108 drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by a 23-year-old motorist.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the "eight" was killed. The driver of the foreign car and four of his passengers received various injuries: 36-year-old and 38-year-old women, a 34-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl. On July 8, in the same area of the Tula region, a driver of a MAZ car tower hit a Kawasaki motorcycle when entering a packing area. The young man, born in 2000, who was driving it, died on the spot.
