FSB officers burned 530 kg of cocaine in St. Petersburg

FSB officers burned 530 kg of cocaine worth more than 1 billion rubles at a special landfill in St. Petersburg. This was announced on July 14 by the press service of the department.

It is specified that narcotic substances were evidence in a number of criminal cases in which verdicts have already been passed.

"The total weight of the narcotic drug cocaine, destroyed at a special testing site of one of the city's enterprises, amounted to 530 kg," the department said.

According to the FSB, the value of the destroyed narcotic substance is estimated at over 1 billion rubles.

Some of the defendants managed to escape after the jury acquitted them.

On May 20, the FSB seized a large shipment of synthetic drugs worth over 150 million rubles in the Amur region. It is specified that almost 10 kg of synthetic drugs, amounting to about 40 thousand single doses, were withdrawn from illicit trafficking.
