The authorities of Transbaikalia announced a 7-fold decrease in the number of flood victims

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, the number of flood victims decreased 6-7 times. This was announced by Governor Alexander Osipov during an operational meeting. He said that this was achieved thanks to the work carried out earlier.

Osipov instructed to re-check all water bodies and hydraulic protection structures, pay attention to places of congestion and changes in riverbeds, as well as areas where there are drifts or some kind of obstacles on the water. In addition, it is necessary to check the preparation of the dams.

The most important thing, according to the head of the regions, is the organization of flood relief. We are talking about restoring roads, paying social benefits to victims and providing assistance when roads are washed out and infrastructure facilities are damaged, writes ChitaMedia news agency.
