Primorye will be covered by a tropical depression

Primorsky Krai will be under the influence of a tropical depression during the week. Today, on July 14, it will approach the southern part of the Sea of Japan. Under the influence of an anticyclone intensifying over the northern waters, the system will change direction and begin moving northwest, pass over the Korean Peninsula and rush deep into China.

The center of the depression will not reach Primorye, but it will be close enough to determine the weather conditions in the region. In this regard, during the week it will be mostly cloudy in the territory of the region, there will be rains in different areas, in some places they will be more prolonged. The heaviest precipitation is forecast in the Khasan district, and there will be less precipitation in the east of the region.

At the same time, the air temperature will remain within the usual limits for the season: at night about +16 degrees, during the day — up to +27 degrees. In the second half of the week, the background temperature is expected to rise by 1-3 degrees.

A sharp deterioration in the weather is expected in Vladivostok on Monday. Heavy rains, thunderstorms and gusty winds are possible, writes PrimaMedia news agency.

Earlier, Alexey Kokorin, a climate expert at the Nature and People Foundation, said that over the next 50 years in Russia, the average temperature in summer will rise by at least 2-3 degrees. He also noted that over the past 50 years, the average temperature in Russia has already become about 2 degrees higher. According to him, somewhere it feels much warmer than it was before.
