Sobyanin spoke about the prospects of building pedestrian bridges in Moscow
By 2027, several pedestrian bridges and two pedestrian bicycle bridges will be built in Moscow, which will be built in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, told about this in his Telegram channel. The new bridges will become part of the walking and cycling routes of the capital.
"By implementing the Moscow Development Strategy, we are actively forming a network of new convenient walking routes, including connecting areas that are located on different sides of the Yauza and the Moskva Rivers," the mayor recalled.
As part of the capital's landscaping, 39 bridges have been built in the city since 2011, five of them are bicycle bridges — two across the Yauza, one across the Tsyganka River, one through the Drainage Canal and another in the Nagatinsky Backwater. By 2027, in particular, an all-terrain bicycle bridge will appear in the city, which will be erected under the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and will become part of the walking route from Baltschug to Bolotnaya Square, extending its length. In addition, it is planned to create a new single walking route from Fili Park to Krylatsky with the help of an all-terrain bike bridge.
