In 2025, tests of the latest electric vacuum sweepers of domestic production for municipal needs began, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Compact and eco-friendly equipment can be used to clean the city.

"In the coming years, we plan to convert some of the harvesting equipment to electric traction," Sobyanin said on the Telegram channel. He noted that the noise level during operation of electric vehicles is 75% lower than that of diesel counterparts.

Also, according to Sobyanin, a fleet of cars with natural gas engines will be expanded in Moscow for the needs of public utilities. The volume of emissions from them is up to 10 times less than from those running on liquid fuels.

Moscow's public utilities are actively using advanced technologies in their work, the mayor emphasized. In particular, robots are used in the capital to inspect, maintain and repair underground utilities. They allow monitoring of engineering networks in places that are difficult for humans to access, and all data is recorded and analyzed.
