The FSB prevented a terrorist attack against an officer of the Russian Defense Ministry in Crimea

The Federal Security Service (FSB) has prevented a terrorist attack against one of the senior officers of the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced on July 14 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

"The Federal Security Service prevented a terrorist act being prepared by the SBU on the territory of the Republic of Crimea against one of the senior officers of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

It is specified that the woman was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), on their instructions, she was supposed to blow up a Russian serviceman in his personal car on the eve of Victory Day in May this year.

Law enforcement agencies detained the suspect. Criminal cases have been initiated against her under Articles 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act") and 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").
