The guards scouts from the Khabarovsk Territory of the Vostok group spoke about the successful completion of combat missions in the special military operation zone. The relevant footage is published by Izvestia on July 13.

The fighters call the passage to the positions one of the most difficult elements of the assault. During this stage, the main task is to approach the enemy unnoticeably. Such operations can sometimes be hindered by open terrain and clear weather — in such conditions, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) can carry out almost round-the-clock surveillance of the surrounding area.

"Enter a settlement as unobtrusively as possible, as stealthily as possible. The first groups entered unnoticed, the enemy did not even have time to realize that we were already there," said the commander of the Vostok group's intelligence department with the call sign Malaya.

During the assault, the fighters were divided into twos and sequentially cleared the settlement. Groups of soldiers were moving one after another to hold and control the positions already occupied, the commander of the reconnaissance brigade with the call sign Husky told Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.

"Their commander was also killed in a firefight. The commander was a mercenary, you could hear the accent, and he commanded very competently — he drew fire, distributed personnel," recalls the deputy commander of the Vostok group's intelligence group with the call sign Isi.

According to him, mostly conscripts serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, they are taken to positions to prepare fortifications, and after completion of the work they are left in the same place as fighters.

"They are sitting there for two people, they have no food, no water. A vending machine, a couple of magazines, and a radio button. They just report that they are being stormed, and that's it. And the enemy begins to "iron" this territory together with their own," the soldier said.

During the combat mission, the Russian units obtained captured weapons — a machine gun, machine guns and other equipment.

"This machine gun was taken while clearing a forest belt. Taken almost without a fight, the enemy surrendered," a radio scout with the call sign Tsar showed the trophies.

On July 13, the Russian Defense Ministry released footage of the liberation of the Karl Marx settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). During the fighting, the Russian Armed Forces cleared more than 400 buildings and destroyed over a company of personnel from the 141st separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
