The doctor talked about the benefits of puzzles for the brain
Often, various puzzles are created for the development of children, and for good reason. They help to form new neural connections in the human brain. About it on July 13, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by a psychiatrist, an expert of the social project Dementia.net Maria Shtan.
"This effect can be useful when, for example, the atrophic process affects the main neural pathways that a person always uses — he will be able to apply alternative ways to solve a problem that are formed in the process of solving puzzles," the doctor explained.
She noted that it is impossible to divide puzzles into useful and useless ones, since each task is focused on a certain level of cognitive reserve.
Earlier, on June 1, a survey revealed the popularity of the educational toy category. Thus, 56% of parents prefer to buy educational toys.
