The British Southend Airport was temporarily closed after the incident with the plane crash on July 13. The information was reported on the same day by the press service of Aviagavan on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"Due to the serious incident that occurred at London Southend Airport today, we regret to inform you that the airport is closed until further notice," the statement said.

All boarding and departure flights from the airport have been cancelled as police, emergency services and investigators investigate the incident.

"We ask all passengers who are due to fly through London Southend Airport tomorrow to contact their airline for information and advice," the publication says.

Representatives of the air harbor noted that they would try to resume flights "as soon as possible."

Earlier that day, a small plane crashed and caught fire at Southend Airport immediately after takeoff. Emergency services are on site. At the moment, there is no information about how many people were on board the twin-engine turboprop aircraft. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
