The State Duma called the lawful destruction of mercenaries in Ukraine

The destruction of mercenaries serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is a legitimate task and the only possible outcome. Alexey Zhuravlev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma's Defense Committee, told Izvestia on July 14.

"Foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of Ukraine will always be a priority target for us everywhere. They are not combatants, not participants in the conflict, and they do not fall under the convention on prisoners of war, which means that the only possible outcome is destruction," he said.

The parliamentarian added that every mercenary who came to participate in the "safari for Russians" should not forget that he himself could become the target of such a "hunt".

"It's quite easy to eliminate them, and we certainly do it as soon as intelligence brings the coordinates of another such foreign hornet's nest," the deputy said.
