Four Russian schoolchildren won gold medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad, which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The award ceremony took place on July 13.
"The results of the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad have become known. All four participants from Russia won gold medals!" the Telegram channel of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) clarified.
So, Fedor Kuznetsov scored 86.7 points out of 100 possible, Viktor Demidov — 85.3, Vladimir Elistratov — 81.7, and Konstantin Gunko — 76.7. All four of them study in Moscow schools.
The composition of the Russian national team at the International Chemistry Olympiad was determined after a two-week training camp, which took place at the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University.
On June 26, the Russian national team took second place in the team competition at the first International Cybersecurity Olympiad among High School Students, which was held in Singapore. In the final, the Russian team met with 128 schoolchildren from 25 countries.
