China has declared its readiness to work with the Russian Federation on bringing the SCO to a new level

China is ready to work with Russia and other countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to bring the association to a new level. This was announced on July 13 by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"We are ready to work with Russia and other member states to prepare for the Tianjin summit, plan future development directions, establish cooperation in various fields and promote the SCO to a new level," he said on the agency's website.

Wang Yi stressed that the SCO is an important platform for the development of comprehensive strategic cooperation. Lavrov added that Russia is ready to deepen ties with China in various fields.

The minimum number of people in a group for free entry can be reduced to three people.

Earlier in the day, Lavrov arrived in China to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry went to Beijing from the DPRK, where he was on a three-day working visit to the city of Wonsan.
