The lion and the lion cub, which were used as "props" for photo shoots, were seized from the owners and transferred to the Moscow Zoo. This was announced on July 13 by the Moscow prosecutor's office.

"The lion and the lion cub have been transferred to the Moscow Zoo," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the owner of the lions used them for photo shoots in Moscow. At the same time, the rules for keeping animals were not observed and the safety of the participants of the event was not ensured. An administrative offense case has been initiated against the owners in connection with violation of animal husbandry conditions.

On May 16, the Moscow Zoo reported that a male cougar named Hercules, seized from a resident of the capital, has successfully adapted to the zoo and is in good physical shape. It was seized from the owner in March. The man kept the predatory animal in a cramped apartment for several years.
