The DPRK declared its readiness to respond to any threats from the United States and Japan.

The DPRK is ready to respond with military action if there are threats from the United States, Japan and South Korea. This was reported on July 13 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

As the agency pointed out, the United States continues to build up its forces on the Korean peninsula, which poses a threat to the security of the DPRK. It clarifies that the United States, Japan and South Korea are turning into a trilateral military alliance. This is evidence that at any moment a "phase of unpredictable military confrontation" may come. In this regard, KCNA notes, the DPRK's retaliatory measures are the "sovereign right" of the state.

"With real and military retaliatory actions, the DPRK will more clearly show its unchanged position <...> and continue to take responsible measures to protect the sovereignty and security interests of the state," the publication says.
