A large fire occurred on the territory of the former Royal Air Force base in Nottinghamshire, which was used during the Second World War. This was reported by The Sun newspaper on July 13.

According to her, the fire engulfed about "12 thousand tons of bales of hay and corn on the vine." 10 fire trucks, an operational support unit and several rural fire extinguishing vehicles were involved in fighting the fire.

In addition, rescuers will have to stay at the scene for the next few days or longer until the fire is completely eliminated and its cause is determined.

It is specified that the airbase was built in 1941-1942 and operated from February 1942 to July 1958. There are still buildings from the time of the war in this place.

On July 10, a fire broke out on board the superyacht Sea Lady II located in the port of Saint-Tropez resort in France. It was noted that 30 specialists, two fire trucks and one boat were involved in extinguishing the fire. The fire engulfed the three upper decks of the ship.
