Bild has learned about the seizure of over €20 million worth of drugs by the police in Germany.

In Germany, police officers seized a shipment of the drug kaptagon, over 300 kg in size, worth over € 20 million. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on July 13.

The drugs were in bottles that were in containers of oilseeds in a vegetable warehouse in Saxony-Anhalt.

"They contained about 300 kg of captagon in the form of about 1.7 million tablets. The value of this amount on the black market is estimated at more than €20 million," police spokeswoman Antje Hoppe said.

She noted that an investigation is currently underway against the suspects. According to law enforcement officials, the criminals are not in Germany. It is also claimed that the drug increases risk tolerance and at the same time lowers the threshold of aggression.

"This is probably one of the largest single seizures of this substance in Germany," Hoppe concluded.

The State Duma considers the punishment for the popularization of psychotropic substances to be too lenient.
