Putin spoke about the historical negativity of France and Britain towards Russia
Britain and France blame Russia for the collapse of their colonial empires, and this historical negativity persists to this day. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"In some former colonial empires — in Great Britain, in France — they consider us (Russia. — Ed.) to blame for the collapse of their colonial empires. And this historical memory, historical negativity still persists, I see it — strangely enough," Putin said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist at VGTRK.
The Russian president noted that it was "funny for him to look at it."
