An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred off the coast of Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean. This was announced on July 13 by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

It is specified that the seismic event was recorded at 06:16 UTC (9:16 Moscow time) 45 km south of Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, with a population of about 50 thousand people. The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km.
