"The FBI, the Secret Service, everyone, the Ministry of Justice reported to me several times. I was satisfied with that," he said.

According to him, the attack was the result of a number of omissions on the part of the services providing his protection. He expressed the opinion that there should have been an employee in the building from where the shooting took place, and coordination with the local police should have been clearer. Trump added that mistakes had been made that could have been avoided, but also stressed that he was generally satisfied with the assessment of the situation in a broader context.

"Our sniper was able to hit him from a long distance with one shot in less than five seconds. If he hadn't done that, the situation would have been much worse," Trump stressed.

He also pointed out that talented professionals work in the country's law enforcement agencies, but they made a mistake that day. According to him, it was just a "bad day" for the security forces.

In 2024, Trump survived two assassination attempts. The first occurred on July 13 at an election rally in Pennsylvania. The politician was wounded in the ear at a tangent.
