A man has gone missing after a boat capsized on the Aldan River in Yakutia. This was announced on July 13 by the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (IMT) of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

"According to preliminary data, there were two people on the boat, as a result of the incident, one person got ashore on his own, the location of the second has not been established. Search and rescue operations are underway," the department's Telegram channel says.

Specialists are conducting a pre-investigation check on signs of violation of safety rules during the operation of water transport, provided for in Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of water transport").

As noted in the press service of the department, a set of verification measures has also been appointed, following which a procedural decision will be made.

The Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office reported on July 11 that a 16-year-old teenager went missing while swimming in the bay of the Ussuriysky Bay on July 10. As the agency noted, search and rescue operations were organized.
