Serbian President Vucic announced his intention to support Russia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the country does not want to turn its back on Russia and will try to support it, despite the attitude of other countries towards Moscow. He announced this on July 12 in an interview with Informer TV.
"When everyone turned away from Russia, we did not turn away. And listening to moral lectures from those from whom I shouldn't listen to them, I listen to them without much respect," Vucic said.
The Serbian president added that he does not intend to attack Ukraine, since the country has no conflict with the Kiev authorities.
Earlier, on July 4, Vucic called on protesting students and opposition supporters to abandon plans to lay siege to several cities, including Belgrade, warning that otherwise the authorities would be forced to take counter measures. According to the Serbian president, the actions of the protesters contradict the law on traffic safety and the constitutional norms of freedom of movement.
