The US Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristy Noam, announced plans to build five immigration detention centers similar to the Alcatraz Alligator. Noem reported this on the social network X.

"Several states are already using the Alcatraz Alligator Center as a model for cooperation with us. I continue to negotiate with five other governors about possible facilities they have," she said.

Noem noted that this step is necessary to improve work in the field of U.S. migration policy.

"As you all know, we need to double our capacity and the number of places in isolation because we need to expel people from the country as quickly as possible and keep our system running," the Minister of Internal Security explained.

Earlier, on June 30, Reuters reported on the participation of US President Donald Trump in the opening of a migrant detention center in Florida. It is clarified that this decision by the American leader was the next step in his program to tighten the procedures for the detention and deportation of illegal migrants.
