A local resident was detained in Texas for threatening to kill Trump.
A man has been arrested in the American city of San Antonio for posting online threats to kill US President Donald Trump. This was announced on July 12 in a statement by the Office of the Prosecutor of the Western District of Texas.
According to court documents, 52-year-old Robert Herrera commented on a July 10 publication by a San Antonio-based news agency on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) regarding Trump's planned visit to Texas.
It is clarified that under the pseudonym Robert Herrer, Herrera wrote "I will not miss" and posted a photo of President Trump surrounded by US Secret Service agents immediately after the assassination attempt on July 13, 2024 in Pennsylvania.
It is noted that he also attached a photo of an assault rifle and loaded magazines to another user's comment on the social network. The US Secret Service, the FBI and the San Antonio Police Department are currently investigating all the circumstances of the case.
In 2024, Trump survived two assassination attempts. The first occurred on July 13 at an election rally in Pennsylvania. The politician was wounded in the ear at a tangent. The second attempt was made on September 15: there was a shooting at a golf club in West Palm Beach. Trump was 500 m away from the scene. The perpetrators were detained in both cases.
