The annual Golf Club Magazine tournament was held in Zavidovo on July 12. The competitions were held using the Stableford system, which allows golfers of different levels to play comfortably.

Maria Petrikova, publisher and editor-in-chief of Golf Club magazine, noted that interest in the tournament is very high.

"We have a lot of players. 125 players will enter the field today. Non-standard flights for five people, because <...> the interest in the tournament is very, very high. We have a very large waiting list and we want to sign up as many players as possible, because we love them all very much," she stressed.

Ilya Kovalchuk, a Russian hockey player and Olympic champion of the 2018 Games, said that playing golf allows you to have a good time.

"Golf is about good communication, company, weather and pleasant people. <..> You relax and have a little physical activity," he said.

According to opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov, golf is a beautiful outdoor sport where you can enjoy the fresh air, socialize with friends and get positive emotions without stress and tension.

"This is a game where everyone finds their own interest," he said.

The competition was supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Russian Golf Association and the Roscongress Foundation.
