Iran has not stopped cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), but the form of this cooperation will change in connection with the Iran-Israel conflict. This was announced on July 12 by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi.

"Our cooperation with the IAEA has not stopped, but it will take on a new form, which is absolutely natural, given the reality on earth and the events that have taken place," he is quoted as saying on the Tasnim agency's Telegram channel.

Araqchi stressed that Iran's nuclear program has been and will be peaceful, and the Islamic Republic remains a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Weapons (NPT). According to him, all Iran's cooperation with the IAEA will now be managed through the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic.

On July 9, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian informed the President of the European Council (EU), Antonio Costa, during a telephone conversation about the commitment to the NPT. As Costa noted, he managed to persuade the Iranian president to continue cooperation with the IAEA.
