770 kg of frozen salmon seized from illegal traffic in Kamchatka
About 770 kg of unmarked frozen salmon fish was seized by law enforcement agencies at a fish factory in Kamchatka. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kamchatka Territory on Friday, July 11.
"It has been established that the general director of the enterprise carried out the illegal acquisition, production and storage of salmon species fish without labeling the producer provided for in the technical regulations and without registration of veterinary and accompanying documents in the Federal State Information System Mercury," the publication says.
As a result, approximately 340 kg of chum salmon and 430 kg of sockeye salmon were seized. Their total cost was more than 440 thousand rubles.
The seizure was carried out during Operation Putin – 2025 by employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kamchatka Territory, together with employees of the Ust-Bolsheretsky Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Two criminal cases have been initiated on the grounds of corpus delicti provided for in Part 3 of Article 171.1 and Part 3 of Article 175 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The person involved is the director general of the organization, he has been given a measure of procedural coercion in the form of an obligation to appear. The investigation of the case continues.
Earlier, on June 23, the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, said that in Moscow the activities of a group of persons involved in the illegal trafficking of natural precious stones had been suppressed.
