Prince George will stop traveling with the royal family after turning 12.
The second heir to the throne of Great Britain, Prince George, will stop traveling with the royal family at the age of 12 due to royal tradition. This was reported by LADbible on July 10.
"As soon as the second person in line to inherit the throne turns 12, he must travel separately to the current heir when performing any royal duties," the publication says.
It is clarified that this restriction, according to royal dogmas, is necessary so that in the event of a disaster, one of the heirs to the throne will definitely remain alive.
The publication also noted that this rule applies to travel with the younger heirs to the throne — sister Princess Charlotte and brother Prince Louis.
Earlier, on June 30, King Charles III of Great Britain decided to abandon the operation of a private royal train in order to modernize the monarchy and reduce costs. The train has been used to transport the British royal family since 1840 and has been a part of national life for several decades.
