On July 11, the Aviation Accident Investigation Bureau of India (AAIB) published a report on the investigation of the July 12 plane crash in Ahmedabad. The relevant document is available on the agency's website.

"The aircraft was destroyed as a result of an impact on buildings on the ground and a subsequent fire. A total of five buildings were damaged and suffered serious structural damage and destruction from the fire," the materials say.

The document contains graphs, illustrations, and snapshots from the scene, as well as information about the key points of the incident.

It is reported that the aircraft was equipped with two advanced flight recorders (EAFR). They were installed in the tail and front parts of the airliner. Subsequently, one of them was found on the roof of a nearby building. Shock and thermal damage were recorded on the parts, and wires were sticking out of the case. Another registrar was found burnt out and covered in soot three days later.

"The flight data uploaded [from one of the recorders] contained approximately 49 hours of flight data on six flights.,
including a flight with a <crash>. The restored audio footage lasted two hours and captured the event. An initial analysis of the recorded audio and flight data was carried out," the experts report.

It is also reported that the take-off weight of the aircraft was within acceptable limits for the conditions. There were no dangerous goods on board.

It is noted that after the aircraft reached a speed of 180 knots (333.36 km/h), the fuel supply to the first and second engines was stopped, after which their revolutions began to decrease.

"On the recording of the conversation in the cockpit, one of the pilots can be heard asking the other why he turned off the fuel. The other pilot replied that he did not do it," the report says.

Currently, the investigation into the crash incident is still ongoing.
