The seasonal rise in the incidence of enterovirus infections (EVI) started earlier than usual this year and will peak in July-August. This was reported on July 11 in the press service of Rospotrebnadzor following a meeting of the board of the department.

"The seasonal rise in the incidence of enterovirus infections (EVI) began earlier than usual, starting in mid-May, and the peak incidence is forecast for July—August," the report said.

It is specified that in this regard, the territorial administrations have been instructed to strengthen control over the implementation of preventive and anti-epidemic measures, especially in kindergartens and summer health facilities.

In addition, the board meeting stated that the situation with respiratory infections, measles and meningococcal infection in Russia has stabilized.
