A resident of Vidnoye who beat a child with a bat was arrested for two months

A resident of the Moscow suburb of Vidnoye, who beat the 11-year-old son of his roommate with a bat, was arrested for two months. This was reported on July 11 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Vidnovsky City Court of the Moscow region.

He will remain in custody until September 10.

During the interrogation, the defendant confessed to what he had done. Forensic medical, psychological and psychiatric forensic examinations have now been appointed.

It is also noted that the three children with whom the defendant lived did not attend school. The minors were sent to a medical facility for a health assessment. According to the prosecutor's office, their stepfather repeatedly tortured them.

The beating of a child in Vidnom was reported by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region earlier that day. The 31-year-old attacker struck the boy multiple times on the head with a bat. The mother did not seek medical help and did not report anything to law enforcement agencies.
