In Ussuriysk (Primorsky Krai), the foundation of the pillars of the future bridge over the Rakovka River on Chicherina Street began to be installed. The gorokrug administration reports this in its Telegram channel.

The work is being carried out as part of the reconstruction of the crossing, which essentially involves the construction of a new bridge. The contractor has already dismantled the old structure and started installing drilling piles for the new one.

"The project is being implemented within the framework of the municipal program "Ussuriysk Roads for 2023-2027" and is aimed at expanding the roadway from 10 m to 14 m, increasing the length of the bridge from 124.16 m to 132.5 m and creating four—lane traffic with pedestrian zones," the report says.

According to the UssurMedia news agency, the reconstruction of the bridge over the Rakovka River started in May 2025. The work is scheduled to be completed in November 2027. As of July 11, there are no delays from the schedule.

In February, it was reported that the length of the reconstructed section of Chicherina Street would be more than 1.2 km. In addition to the construction of a new bridge, the project provides for the expansion of the roadway from two to four lanes, the reconstruction of storm sewers, external utilities, traffic lights, bus stops and road signs, as well as landscaping of the surrounding area.
