In the village of Ivanovka near Chita, in the next couple of years, they plan to eliminate the municipal landfill. This was announced by Acting Minister of Natural Resources Pavel Volzhin during a meeting in the government of the region.
According to him, quoted by ChitaMedia news agency, 10 million rubles will be allocated for the development of design estimates. The work itself will take place in 2026-2027.
Volzhin also spoke about the allocation of up to 40 million rubles for the project of dismantling the former arsenic plant in the village of Vershino-Darasunsky. The territory will need to be neutralized and reclaimed, taking into account all the requirements. This is not the first time a contractor has been sought.
The development of a project for the conservation of the tailings storage facility of the Blagodatskaya processing plant in Gorny Zerentui will cost even more. The maximum value of the contract with the contractor will be 57 million rubles.
At the end of last year, it was reported that 349 unauthorized landfills included in the relevant register of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia are planned to be eliminated in Transbaikalia by 2030.
In 2023-2024, three large landfills were eliminated in Transbaikalia. These are Nerchinsk, Borzya-1 and Borzya-2.
