A resident of the Chelyabinsk region will be tried for fraud in Korolev

In Korolev (Moscow region), a criminal case has been brought to court against a 36-year-old man who is accused of fraud. The amount of damage amounted to more than 10.6 million rubles.

According to law enforcement agencies, in April 2023, a native of the Chelyabinsk region joined a group of scammers. He was looking for accomplices who agreed to issue bank cards in their name for a monetary reward. The man received login information for online banking personal accounts.

One of the victims was a resident of Korolev, whom the scammers called on behalf of the FSB. The man agreed to transfer savings and credit funds to "secure accounts," writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.

The criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").

In the Kamchatka Territory, 601 fraud-related crimes were registered in the first half of 2025. The damage to citizens exceeded 300 million rubles.
