On August 9, Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora will host the largest folklore event of the summer — the XIV Interregional Creative Festival of Slavic Art "Russian Field". In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the festival acquires special significance and for the first time will be held in a landmark place for the whole country - at the Victory Monument. The organizers have prepared a large-scale program that will bring together more than 1,500 participants from 65 regions of Russia and abroad.

This year, guests will find several new thematic zones, each of which reveals the richness of Russian culture and history in its own way. For example, the Podvorye Otkritie interactive educational platform will be dedicated to great Russian travelers and geographical discoveries. In 2025, several important anniversaries are celebrated: 325 years since the birth of the polar explorer Semyon Chelyuskin, 420 years since the birth of the navigator Semyon Dezhnev, 300 years since the beginning of the First Kamchatka expedition. All of them will be marked in a special program. Visitors will enjoy an exhibition with artifacts from historical expeditions, meetings with descendants, interactive lectures from leading historians, workshops on ancient crafts, science shows and quests for the whole family, round tables with the participation of modern travelers.

Another novelty of the festival will be the Art Quarter, which will host plein-airs related to the main themes of the festival. The activities of the partners of the Russian Field will also take place within the framework of the site. Each of the festival's guests will be able to take part in setting a Russian record by recreating the text of Alexander Pushkin's poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" on a unique art object, as well as take a memorable photo with the characters of the immortal work. In the interactive area, children and parents can play the human-sized board game "Tower" and relax on ottomans. There will also be an international campaign "Memory of the Heart", which tells about the exploits and fates of those people whose lives were connected with the war. Visitors to the site of the International action "Memory of the Heart" at the Russian Field Festival will find unique documentaries, an educational quiz on the knowledge of significant dates and events related to the Second World War, the opportunity to take memorable photos in costumes of the 1940s, and hear personal stories of people with stories about relatives who went through the Great Patriotic War.

The patriotic poetry contest "About Heroism, about the Motherland, about Glory" at the Poetic Frontier site will bring together more than 20 of the best poets and reciters from different regions of the country. The jury will be headed by Alexander Shaganov, a songwriter, winner of the Ovation Prize, members of the Writers' Union of the Russian Federation — singer and poetess Irina Drokova and poet Stanislav Churilov. In addition to the participants of the competition, Tatiana Rogozina, modern poets and performers of the author's song will perform at the venue.

The festival will also preserve the areas that everyone has already loved: the Field of Glory with a historical reconstruction of the events of the Great Patriotic War, the Victory Ball, an exhibition of military equipment and master classes in historical dancing; the Musical Square, where guests will see performances by 65 finalist groups, a concert by the large combined Russian choir (more than 1,200 participants) and pop stars; "Musical Zavalinka" with chamber performances by creative groups; "Slavyanskaya Sloboda" at the Church of St. George the Victorious, where a prayer service will be held at the beginning of the festival. New products from the Sretensky Monastery publishing house will also be presented there and thematic meetings with interesting speakers will be held.

In total, the event will feature 12 themed venues, including gastronomic ones: "National Cuisine", where they will try to set a world record related to victory in the Great Patriotic War, and "Sytny Dvor", with dishes from the regions of Russia and culinary master classes from chefs. World-famous folk crafts will be presented on the "Square of Regions", and guests will see a fashion show of national clothing collections on the runway of the "Fashion Row".

The festival is supported by the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Military Historical Society. Everyone will be able to follow the events live — online broadcasts will be available on the official website, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki pages, as well as on the Culture portal.RF.
