- Russia has extradited a person accused of committing a particularly serious crime to Latvia
Russia has extradited an Uzbek citizen to Latvia, who is accused of committing a particularly serious crime. This was reported on July 11 on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that in 2021, the accused in Riga committed violent acts against a minor. A Latvian court put him on the international wanted list in 2023. However, on July 18, 2024, the defendant was detained in Moscow.
"The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has received a request for his extradition. A decision has been made on extradition, which has entered into force," the message says.
On the same day, Indonesia, thanks to the involvement of Interpol, extradited Alexander Zverev, accused of trafficking in personal information of Russians contained in information and reference arrays and databases of Russian government agencies, to Russia. It was noted that in 2019, the attacker joined a criminal community that traded personal information of residents of the Russian Federation.
