Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "Over the past week, units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlements of Poddubnoye and Tolstoy in the Donetsk People's Republic. They defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized brigades, a regiment of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and four air defense brigades," the Defense Ministry said.

In addition, during the week, the Russian army carried out six group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against targets of the Kiev regime. Enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine that provided them with energy infrastructure facilities, military airfields, assembly and storage sites for attack UAVs and unmanned boats, arsenals, fuel depots and military equipment, territorial acquisition centers (TCCs) were affected The Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries.

The air defense forces, in turn, shot down a Neptun long-range guided missile, 35 guided aerial bombs, six US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 1988 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles within a week.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the enemy lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 68,966 UAVs, 614 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,188 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,576 combat vehicles with multiple rocket launchers, 27,251 field artillery and mortars, 37,990 units of special military vehicles.
