The Sollers Transmission Manufacturing company has launched the production of electromechanical transfer cases for the Sollers line of pickups and UAZ vehicles. The first batch of new units at the ZMZ industrial Park in the Nizhny Novgorod Region was released on July 11, the press service of the Sollers group told Izvestia.

Trans-Volga-made transfer cases will aggregate Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups, as well as UAZ Patriot, Pickup, and four-wheel drive Profi vehicles. Localization of casting and crankcase machining operations, assembly operations and control and testing tests are provided.

The total production volume for the project will be about 20 thousand units per year. The total amount of investments will exceed 350 million rubles, which will be financed with a loan from the Industrial Development Fund.

"The new project will allow us to master advanced technologies, create additional jobs, as well as ensure high localization of vehicles manufactured under the Sollers brand, and significantly increase the consumer properties of UAZ vehicles," said Ilnur Sahabiev, CEO of the company.

On July 8, Sollers began mass production of new Sollers SP7 minivans using full-cycle technology at the Yelabuga plant. The Sollers SP7 became the first locally produced minivan with a gasoline engine. The launch of sales of the model is scheduled for autumn 2025.
