In Krasnoyarsk, a worker died at a construction site due to a metal element falling on him. This was announced on July 11 by the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) for the region.

"A criminal case has been opened into the death of a worker as a result of a metal element falling on him at a construction site on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules during construction work, resulting in the death of a person by negligence")," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that a metal element fell from a height of 12-13 floors on the site of the residential complex during work with a crane to disassemble structures. A 56-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene.

It is previously reported that the deceased performed the functions of a handyman in a contractor organization.

According to the press service of the department, at the moment all the circumstances of the incident are being established.

On June 17, three people died in Tyumen as a result of the collapse of an outrigger platform at a residential complex construction site. It was clarified that one of the victims was on the outrigger platform, the second was below.
