In Primorye, entrepreneurs will stand trial for fraud worth 7.6 billion rubles
The investigation of a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale") against three entrepreneurs has been completed in Primorsky Krai. This was announced on July 11 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk in the Telegram channel.
"In the period from December 2011 to September 2022, the attackers illegally appropriated state—owned minerals in the production of boron-containing products," she said.
Funds belonging to one of the enterprises and due to be paid to the Russian budget were also stolen. The damage caused by the actions of the attackers amounted to 7.655 billion rubles.
It is reported that the criminal case against the defendants has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
Earlier, on July 8, criminal cases of embezzlement of budget funds of the Patriot Park in the amount of 25 million rubles were sent to court. It is clarified that the investigation of the criminal case of former Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Popov, accused of fraud on an especially large scale, is also ongoing.
