In the second and third readings, the State Duma of Russia adopted a law on a 50% discount for paying state fees for certifying contracts for the donation of real estate to family members and close relatives at a notary. This was reported on July 10 by the parliamentary television of the State Duma.

"When registering real estate transactions, it is necessary to lower the threshold and simplify procedures for close relatives in order to avoid difficulties," Artyom Kiryanov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, is quoted as saying.

It clarifies that the law applies to spouses, parents, relatives and adopted children, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

On July 10, at the plenary session, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill to reduce fines for taxis operating without a carrier's compulsory civil liability insurance (OSGOP).
