The doctor spoke about the risks of hypertensive crisis due to work in the country
During the summer season, human activity increases, the body is under severe stress, which can lead to a hypertensive crisis, or a sharp increase in blood pressure. About what symptoms precede it, July 11, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by Dmitry Karpenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy at the Institute of Clinical Medicine at Pirogov University.
As the doctor noted, a hypertensive crisis can cause a heart attack. People who led a sedentary lifestyle before the summer season, as well as those with heart and vascular problems, are susceptible to the crisis.
"Hypertensive crisis [is observed] in people with arterial hypertension and acute coronary syndrome (up to a heart attack) in patients with coronary heart disease," explained Karpenko.
The main symptoms of a hypertensive crisis, according to the doctor, are dizziness, weakness, blurred vision, pressing pain behind the sternum, shortness of breath and irregular heartbeat.
The expert recommends avoiding sudden movements and increasing the load gradually, allowing the body to rest every 30-40 minutes. In the hot season, it is better not to work in the country. At the same time, do not forget to drink more water.
Earlier, on June 25, Stanislav Ionov, Professor of the Department of Therapy at the Medical Faculty of the State University of Education, said that the symptoms preceding a stroke depend on its cause. According to him, hemorrhagic stroke occurs with hypertension, when blood vessels rupture and hemorrhage occurs in the brain.
