During the evacuation of a wounded comrade from the battlefield, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) read Vladimir Orlov's poem "Native" to keep him conscious. The relevant footage is published by Izvestia on July 10.

"The river, the blue sky — it's all mine, dear. This is my homeland! I love everyone in the world!" the fighters recited.

The work became popular in Russia due to its use in the film "Brother-2" directed by Alexei Balabanov.

It is reported that the evacuated soldier survived and is currently in the hospital.

Earlier, on June 2, Junior Sergeant Roman Moiseev evacuated a soldier injured by a mine. It is reported that he carried a comrade-in-arms to a safe place and ensured his further transportation to a field hospital.
